Why You Should be Shooting Manual | Photography

Shooting in Auto or P-mode is fine but if you really want to expand your photography you have to start shooting in manual.

 

Aperture and Shutter priority modes are really good, and the former is what my camera dial is most often set to; but you can only start to get lazy once you know what’s actually going on.

 

If you start shooting in manual you will be able to get full creative control over your photography. You may trip up a few times in the beginning but at the end you will be a much better photographer.

 

You will be able to get super shallow depth of field:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preserve things that are too quick to admire:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And stretch out time:
